William Parker has been the most talented bassist/ composer in the scene for 25 years now, who had the great Jimmy Garrison as a teacher.
Hamid Drake is the best drummer in the world, knowing every kind of groove from all around the world and able to play everything.
The two of them compose one of the most looked for rhythm section.
Roy Campbell is a leader, a side man, a trumpet genius we can hear in many recordings with several different musicians.
The three played together as a trio for the first time in 2001’s ethnic stew and brew.
This music is beyond your imagination, with groove from hell, blues from heaven, world music from deep earth, jazz from space, a miracle!
The place to be November 15th is definitely Manggha Hall!
